Woodwork - M.ZONE大港自造特區
At 2020 I realized that I have great interest in woodworking so I decided that I want to learn more about it. What a coincidence when my uncle sent a link to me regarding to the courses related to woodworking and the classroom is on the same street of mine, I mean it's pretty much made for me am I right? Anyhow, I signed up for the class and total of 36 hours of learning, these are my results and outcome. My teacher name 大雄, he is the best, he is so passionate about woodworking and taught us everything he can. Love him.

- First work: Learn how to make cup holders
The key point is to prepare a board that is pre-cut with a hole in it using the driller, put the board on top of another board with clamp, then we'll use the Makita trimmer tool to cut down the second board along the first board and eventually make a dent into the second board. Then we will use the wire saw to cut out a circle around the dent. Then the cup holder is complete! Put oil all over the wood so it's shinning and shimmering!! 👏
- Second work: Cute Tissue Box
First, prepare the right sizes of woods. Measure the woods and cut out 6 pieces of woods ready to use. One thing worth to mention is that the method to combine two woods is using the L overlap. Like the figure below.
Using this technique, we can successfully connect the 6 pieces of wood into a box.
The video below is to cut the box in half so it can be opened.

👆 I cut the curve edge with wire saw first then cut the inner hole with also wire saw later.
************Next, I embedded wood into the side of the box to make it even stronger just like this.
Of course, the extra will be cut off eventually.
I made it look like you're taking tissue paper out of a monster's mouth, and even more, in Halloween, you could put light in it and the light will shine through the mouth!
The last part will be sanding, and that's what I'm doing in the video.
- Third work: Rope Chair
By now you would know that first thing would be preparing woods with the right sizes! Cut it, measure it, and size it. One of the cool joint that I do in this chair is the Festool dominos joint. I'm not 100% sure if the technique is called domino or is it the machine name. the circular hole is from the driller. Use Titebond glue to glue it, clamp it, and wala, the chair is formed.
- Extra work: Cat Bowl Rack
At the end of the course, our teacher want us to make a work that we want, and I choose to make a bowl rack for cat! This is my process.
👆 This is my sketch😂 , pretty random. And those two are the material I have which are 4 cylinder and a perfect square wood board.
👆 I cut the curve edge with wire saw first then cut the inner hole with also wire saw later.
👆 I smash 4 piece of into the cylinder so it could prop up and make it stronger. (The cat named Dunno)
************
I know that I did not go through every details on what I did, but at the same time, it's so hard since there are so many steps and skills within the courses that I just can't use words to describe. I am really glad that I took the class and learned so many techniques that I had never thought of, and I wish to learn more in the future!!
